Which drugs does the Drugs Plus Screen test for?
There are seventeen drugs tested for in this screen. These are the twelve that are in our Drugs Screen, plus five others:
- Codeine (opiate)
- Dihydrocodeine (opiate)
- Morphine - opiate
This is a CE marked test performed in our CPA accredited laboratory. It is a very accurate test.
How does drug testing work?
Drug testing can indicate whether a number of commonly abused and/or illegal drugs are present in the body. You simply choose your test from the panel on the right and we will send a discreet test kit to you (it is in a plain envelope so no one will know what it is). We will also email you a copy of the sample collection instruction leaflet. All you need to do is collect a urine sample in the kit we send to you, then post your sample back to Dublin in the postage paid return envelope provided. We will email you your confidential results as soon as they are ready.
When will my test kit arrive?
All tests ordered before 4pm on a normal working day Monday to Friday will be sent out the same day by first class post. Tests ordered at other times will be sent out the next working day. Your kit will normally be with you in 2 to 4 days.
When will I get my results?
Your results will be ready 3 days from when your sample is received in our laboratory.
Is a Better2Know drugs test confidential?
Yes. All Better2Know tests are completely confidential. Your name is not on any of the paperwork sent to the laboratory. We will not share your results with anyone else.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will you send my kit to me?
If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.
Q: Why do you need my email address?
Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.
Q: Do I need to use my real name?
No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.
Q: What if I do not want to pay by card?
Our payment reference on your card will show up as "health screen" so it will not link your purchase to Better2Know. If you do not want to pay by card then we can also accept cash. Please call our Patient Services Team to arrange payment.
Q: What does the kit packaging look like?
It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.
