Full Blood Count

What is a Full Blood Count?

A Full Blood Count is a test that is made from eleven individual tests which look to identify disorders like anaemia, infections and other diseases. The blood is made up from many different cells including white blood cells, of which there are five types, red blood cells and platelets which are all suspended in plasma. Better2Know’s Full Blood Count home sample collection test is able to detect any abnormalities within the blood and provide crucial information regarding your health.

A medical professional will need to collect your sample for you with this test.

Why should I consider a Full Blood Count?

Tiredness, feeling withdrawn or unwell are some symptoms that could indicate an abnormality within your blood, a Full Blood Count could be able to help identify the cause. These feelings could be caused by infection, inflammation, anaemia, clotting issues or other significant medical problems. This test is able to reveal vital information about current or potential health issues. If you have had any of these feelings or you are looking for a broad and in-depth analysis of your health, the Better2Know Full Blood Count is the right test for you and might provide an answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will you send my kit to me?

If your order is placed before 4pm on a working day, then it will be sent the same day. Otherwise it will be sent on the next working day.

Q: Why do you need my email address?

Your Patient Services Manager, Louise Wright, will email you your login details to access your results, a confirmation your kit has been dispatched and finally when all your results are ready. We do not sell on or email you any other marketing materials, that is why we do not ask you to opt in or out of anything.

Q: Do I need to use my real name?

No, but the postman does need to know where to deliver the kit to. As long as you use a name that will get the kit to you, then we do not need your real name.

Q: What does the kit packaging look like?

It will arrive in plain white envelope with your typed name and address on it.

Q: What if I have any more questions?

You can email Louise by replying to one of the emails she has sent to you. She will do her best to answer them.
