What is the Fast Four Bloods Screen?
Better2Know’s Fast Four Bloods Screen tests for four different infections in the blood: HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Syphilis. The results from this screen will be reported one working day after your samples have arrived at our CPA accredited laboratory.
For this screen, a minimum of 28 days must have passed since your last potential exposure.

Which STIs are tested for?
Our Fast Four Bloods Screen tests for:
- HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
- Syphilis
- Hepatitis B
- Hepatitis C
Which samples are needed?
To test for these infections, only blood is required. This will be collected by a qualified clinician at your appointment. On the same day, your samples will be sent to our testing laboratory for fast and accurate analysis.
How do I get my results?
The results from your Fast Four Bloods test will be available within one working day after our laboratory receives your samples. Once all your results are ready, a member of Better2Know’s sexual health advisory team will contact you. Your results will also be reported in your secure online Patient Area.
What if I test positive?
Do not worry; Better2Know will help you. If any test from your screen is reactive, we will provide confirmatory testing at no further cost.
We can arrange a private consultation with a doctor who will discuss the diagnosis, address any concerns you have and prescribe the appropriate treatment. If necessary, we will also provide referral to a specialist.
Alternatively, you can take your results to your GP or local sexual health centre.
