What is the Fast Four Screen?
Better2Know’s Fast Four Screen tests for four important STIs, for which we can provide results on the same day that your samples arrive at our testing laboratory. This screen is suitable for men and women who want to receive their results quickly.
This screen requires a 28-day incubation period. This is the amount of time that must have passed between the incident that you are concerned about and your tests.

Which STIs are tested for?
Our Fast Four Screen comprises testing for:
- HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
- Syphilis
You can add any additional STI tests to this screen at our special bolt-on price.
Which samples are needed?
This screen requires a simple blood and urine sample only. Therefore, we suggest not to use the toilet in the two hours before your appointment to ensure that you can produce a urine sample.
There are no other requirements for our Fast Four Screen. No uncomfortable or embarrassing swabs will need to be taken.
How do I get my results?
Your results will be available the same day that your samples are received by our accredited testing laboratory. You can choose how you would like to be informed about your results at the time of booking.
It is possible to receive results by phone, email, SMS, or by calling us. You can also view your results online in your secure Patient Area.
What happens if I test positive?
Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Syphilis are all curable with the correct antibiotics. In the case of a positive result, Better2Know will help you to find the appropriate medication and a doctor’s consultation if needed.
If your HIV test is reactive, we will assist you in the next stages of treatment. This includes confirmatory testing, specialist support and access to ongoing medication as required.
